ICN is hosting a series of industry
networking events at the 2010 FORMULA 1 AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX from 25 –
27 March 2010. The events are supported by the Australian Grand Prix
Corporation, which is providing its trackside indoor lounge venue,
Torque Bar.
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the latest
developments and opportunities in the sector, while benefiting from the
fantastic networking opportunities at this premium trackside venue.
Each session will feature a senior Government representative who will
provide comment on the industry sector. High-profile industry
specialists will discuss the latest developments and opportunities for
local industry.
Attendees can continue networking following the event in the exclusive Torque Bar outdoor area.
The events are aimed at senior management.
There is no cost to attend and a pass for the day of the session will be provided.
AUSEN
is calling for expressions of interest from companies to attend the
CIPPE exhibition in Beijing and industry visit program between 22 and
31 March 2010.
ICN recently celebrated its 25 year anniversary at an event held at Eureka 89. Premier John Brumby provided the keynote address and congratulated ICN on its achievements over the past 25 years.

March 2009 - 2009 Australian Grand Prix – ICN Networking Events
ICN, as part of its commitment to facilitating business relationships and supporting local industry development, hosted five exclusive industry-specific networking events at the 2009 Formula 1™ ING Australian Grand Prix. The Australian Grand Prix Corporation supported the events as part of its off-track program of activities, providing its track-side venue, ‘Torque Bar'. The sessions were aimed at senior management and all were extremely well-received.
The five events took place from Thursday 26th March – Saturday 28th March. They covered five of ICN's key focus areas: Sports and Events, Building and Construction, Infrastructure (road and rail), Sustainability and Automotive. Each industry-themed session featured a senior government or public sector representative providing the keynote address, as well as high-profile industry representatives relevant to each sector.
Feedback from attendees has been extremely positive, with many commenting on the valuable business contacts they made.
Survey results showed;
Over 80% of respondents found the event(s) they attended to be of great or considerable value
Over 65% of respondents said the event had led to business outcomes / opportunities for their company - with many of the remaining 35% respondents commenting that it was just too early to tell but contacts had been made
Over 95% of respondents said they would attend a networking event at the Australian Grand Prix again
